For some reason Riley loves our toliet. We are not really sure why. I can not leave the door open because he will work his way in there, and no matter how clean the bathroom is, it is still a dirty place. Sunday after we got home from church we were in a hury. My parents were coming to pick us up so we could go see my Grandpa Lyon. I forgot to close the door to the bathroom. I got suspicous when Riley was being very quite. I went to find him and he was in the bathroom playing in the toliet. At first I thought he was just playing in the water but then I notice that he had dropped his pacifier into the water and was trying to get it back out.

Riley is learning how to drink out of a sippy cup.

We went out to eat dinner with Great Grandma and Grampa Woolstenhulme on Sunday, and on the 15 min ride home Riley fell asleep. We still needed to get him ready for bed so I sat him on the front room floor while I went to get him his PJ's. He must have been really tired becase he curled up and went back to sleep.

On Valentines Day we went to visit Grandma, Grandpa, and Tanner. While we were there Riley decided he wanted to walk! He took his first steps. He walked about four steps!

Riley is getting into evreything! We are baby proffing our house, but he finds all the weak links. Like the other day I was typing some stuff for scouts and all of the sudden the coumputer turned off. It took me a minute to relize that Riley had unplugged the computer!

The other day I had my little potable mouse out and Riley decided he wanted to play with it. I let him, thinking that it was no big deal. Well when I went to use it again it was not working. At first we though it was not compatable with my new lap top, but it would not longer work on my old one either. So Riley's slobber must destroy electronics. (I will have to keep that in mind when he is slobbering all over my cell phone.) Anyway now the little mouse is one of Riley's favorite toys.

Riley was 8 months old yesterday. I can not believe how fast the time has gone, and to make it seem like the time is going by even faster Riley has decided to start standing on his own. He will pull himselve up to the end table or pretty much anything and he will let go and hold himself in a standing position. We wanted to see how well he would do standing in the middle of the room with no help. He stood up on his own for almost 20 seconds!
