My poor baby! All last weekend Riley was not eatting well, acting grumpy, and scratched at his ear so much that it started to bleed. Then on Sunday he had a fever, and started throwing up all the milk he was drinking. We took him to the urgent care center and found out that he had a ear infection, (we pretty much knew that before we went in, but we can't really wirte out a prescription for that.) Anyway we had a few nights of pretty much no sleep, but he is doing much better now! He had never had a fever that high and had never been on an atibiotic before so it was a little scary.

We have church at 11:30 to 2:30, as you can imagine that does not work well for nap time. Riley is grumpy at church, and has started to scream and cry when we try to leave him in nursury. All because he does not nap at his regular time!! A few weeks ago when we got home from church Riley was so tired he would not calm down enough to sleep. So we just let him wonder around till he was ready to calm down. The next thing we knew he was fast asleep on the living room floor!

Riley has a thing for sports! The only Wii games we can play at our house are Wii sports and Wii sports resorts. He love to go out side and "play basketball." He even has a little golf club and plastic golf balls. So when we were at the doller store I could not help but buy him his own little basketball and hoop. I'll tell you what I got my dollers worth out of that toy!!

With Riley moving to his new bed and an addition coming to our family this summer, we have been thinking about the big items we will need to get so we have enough furnitre for two kids! One of the things we decided that we needed to get was a new book shelf for Riley. He had out grown his old shelf by about 20 books and the shelf was falling apart anyway. I really wanted a book shelf that had a few spots for storage boxes for the little books or toys that always seem to be missing. Anyway we really could not find anything in the store so we decided to make what we wanted. Nicolas is pretty handy, so I drew up what I wanted and he went from there! He cut out all the wood, than Riley and I helped him put it together, and than during Riley's nap time we painted it. (We really did not want Riley's help on that part, it would have been just a little to messy.) It was a fun family activity, and it is just what I wanted. So far it has stayed nice and orginized, but we will see how long that lasts!

Ready or not, baby number two is on its way!! I went to the doctor yesterday and everything is going well. Baby was moving and kicking in the ultra sound, none of the pictures turned out very well because of that. Anyway I am due at the begining of August, August 11 is the offical day. That makes me 12 weeks today! Morning sickness has not been as bad as it was with Riley. I threw up several times with him, but so far with this one I have not trown up once. I have been sick but nothing to bad. I have been more tired, but most of that I think is Riley's doing. He has been a little sick lately and there for not sleeping well. We are excited, and hope everything continues to go well.
The bottom picture is the better of the two, but it is still hard to see. Baby was being stuborn and was moving to much to get a real good picture.

Over Christmas break we decided it was time for Riley to move into a toddler bed. He is only 18 months, but we felt that it was a neccessary change.
He loves his new bed, and will have nothing to do with his crib anymore. He willingly goes to his bed for nap time and bed time. He loves all the stars on his new blanket and pillows I made for him. The only problem is he is so excited for it all that the first two or three nights it took him two hours to fall asleep. Thankfully we are down to a half hour now. He is really good about staying in his bed during the night. I have only caught him out of bed once, and I think he might have rolled out and was confused on where he was. For the most part it has not been to hard on him, he has lost a few hours of sleep. I had read that some kids are very attatched to their crib and don't want to change, so I was glad that he was so excited.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

For Christmas I am making Riley blocks. The blocks have been sitting on the floor in my craft room for a few weeks. Just the other day Riley discovered them. At least I know Rily is going to like his Christmas present.

Riley is so helpful! We were out clearing the walks and he went to the garage, grabbed a shovel, and promptly reterned to help.

Yes, that is broccoli he is eatting!!! The kid loves food with flavor, he loves pickles, and yes Frank's hot sause. He doesn't like cheese though! He will instantly spit the cheese out and gage.

As much as I do not like the cold, the snow can be pretty fun! We have a drainage pit by our house that we can go sleding at. Riley thinks it is fun to just be pulling around the yard in the sled though.

Riley loves to climb on the couch and hide behind the pillows. He will also climb on the couch and turn the lights on and off.

Every year growing up my mom, and Nicolas' mom would make or buy us a special Christmas Ornement. I always loved the tradition, and have kept it up. Riley loves snowmen so I thought it was fitting to make this years ornements snowmen!!
My snowman (or I guess I should say my snowwomen) is the one with the green hat and scarf, Nicolas' is the one with the red hat and scarf, and Riley's is the one with the blue hat and scarf.
