I ran in the Scenic River Classic 5K race today! I got a pretty good time, I ran the 3.2 miles in just over 26 minutes! Which is what I ran in the same race two years age. I was pretty happy! I even got Forth in my age group.



My dad and me finished the race together. I came in first! Which has never happened before.

This is after the race with Nicolas' grandma and grandpa. They walked the race, and Larry even got 3rd in his age group.

Last week we took a new family photo. I decided I wanted to save money so I asked my dad if he would help take some pictures of us and Riley. (He has a fancy pants camera and is a pretty good photographer.) Anyway last weekend the weather pretty much was horrible! We went to Freeman Park on Friday Night to play disk golf, and wait for my dad to show up, and maybe take a few pictures with our camera. We were only there for about a half hour when all of the sudden a storm rolled in. This was one of the worst storms I have ever seen in my life. (Maybe because I was out in the middle of a park with my one year old screaming because he is getting hit by hail.) We were only about a quarter of a mile away from our car and when we saw the storm coming we started to jog back to our car. About half way back to the car it started to rain, then not even ten seconds later the wind picked up, and then about ten seconds after that it began to hail!! I have never seen a storm move so fast. Once we got to the car Riley was crying and we had lost my favorite lime green disk and a pair of Nicolas' favorite sunglasses, at least we got a few good pictures of Riley. Anyway the rest of the weekend was rainy and overcast so we did not get to go back and finish getting our pictures till Monday night. Thankfully Monday night was very nice and we got a few good pictures.

My baby is a year old!! The time is going by so fast! It is amazing how much he has changed, and how much he has learned. I am so glad that Riley is a part of our lives. He bring a kind of joy to our lives that can not be expressed in words. We love him so much!



We had a birthday party for him last night with some of our family, and he loved being the center of attention! He got way to many toys!



He got a great big smile on his face when everyone sang Happy Birthday to him!


























Riley was not sure what to do with the birthday cake at first, but he figured it out! I was surprised he liked it. I used whiped topping with cool aid for the frosting and it turned out to be kind of sour tasting.

Riley has always love to play with our full sized basketball, or any ball for that matter, and Wesley has a couple of little soccer balls that are Riley size that he loves too. So Grandma and Grandpa Lyon and Uncle Wesley found him a basketball his size.



















Mom and Dad's present to Riley was a little motercycle. Cousin Trenton loves motercycles! They both went google eyes over it, and Riley was even kind enough to let Trenton play with it for awhile.

After everyone went home Riley figured out what he was suppost to do on the motercycle. He started scooting around the house, and he even started saying vrooom, vroom. (Well actully it sounds more like a growl but that is how he makes the car noise.)

Last weekend we went camping with my family. We went to Fall Creek Campground, which is only about 45 minutes from hear, out by Swan Valley. The campground is right next to the river, and there is a very pretty water fall right off the rode to the campground. (Most likely reason for the name of the campground I would guess.) We had fun. We went on a little hike, road our bikes, played in the campfire, and ate too many roasted marshmellows! This was actully Riley's second time out hiking. Last year we took Riley up Table Rock hike! I am not really sure what we were thinking. I have been to the top of Table Rock 8 times now and I never remembered it being that hard. (Although I had never hiked it three months after being pregnant, or with a three month old.) We all made it to the top but for the next week or so we paid for it. Our little two hour hike last week was much better.

My family has always called this hike Look Out, but I am not sure if it even has a real name. Anyway we always hike up to a little spot that looks out over to the Tetons. It is a really pretty view. All the pictures with the Tetons in the background where washed out from the sun.

Riley loves fire!! but I guess most little boys do. Of course we would not let him play in the fire, but when there was no fire he would grab the fire stiring stick and poke it in the fire pit just like dad did when he was starting the fire.

Yesterday we celebrated Nicolas' birthday. It is on Wednesday the 27th, but his dad is going out of town for a few days and we wanted to spend time with everyone. We spent most the day over at Nicolas' mom and dad's house just hanging out. Riley and cousin Trenton played in the swimming pool, and when it was time to get out both boys cried. We had a mean game or two of Lightning, but we did not play with a basketball, we played with frisbee's and Nicolas' new Disk Golf basket. It was really fun. We also went on a short bike ride. It was a fun day.

So my birthday is not for another month, but last night Nicolas gave me my birthday present. It was such a nice day yesterday and Nicolas wanted to go for a bike ride for Family Home Evening. I have wanted a bike trailer from the moment Riley was born! I am pretty excited. We went for a little ride last night and Riley seemed to enjoy it. He did however fall asleep half way through the ride.

Last week we went to Disney World!! We went with Grandma and Grandpa Woolstenhulme(Eric and Adrienne) Savana and Tanner, Nyk, Pauline, and Trenton.

Fun!! We left early morning on the 6th and got back late on the 12th. On the 6th we were on a plane or in the air port pretty much all day. The next mourning we woke up and hit the parks. The first park we went to was epcot. Then the next day we went to Hollywood studios. On the thrid day Riley got sick. He threw up all night long and would not eat and he could not hold any thing down. So while everyone else went to Animal Kingdom we stayed back. The next day Riley was a little better. We went to see the Orlando Temple, and to Coco beach. (Riley has now been to both the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean.) Then that night I got sick. I was up all night throwing up. So again while everyone else went to Magic Kingdom we stayed back. Thankfully that night I felt better and we got to spend at least a few hours in Magic Kingdom. The trip was pretty fun, minus the pooping, barfing baby, and the throwing up in the parking lot.
